 Johnny Jay Potts, 61, of Wagoner, OK, passed away Monday, October 13th, at Wagoner Community Hospital. 

Johnny was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on June 3, 1953, a son of the late Geneva (McGee) and Lawrence  Potts.

He worked as a truck driver.

Johnny is  survived by 
a daughter, Jessica Potts, of Wagoner, Oklahoma; 
a son,Nicholas Potts, of Wagoner, Oklahoma. 
 

Johnny is also survived by 


Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lynn Potts, infant brother, Clay.

He is also survived by Aunt:  Betty Childress of Wagoner, Oklahoma. Niece: Jenny Potts of Lonoke, Arkansas.  Granddaughter:  Cheyenne Nicole Potts of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Memorial Service at at Grace Community Cowboy Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1st,  with Rev. Clint Cannon officiating.

 Mary M. Smith, 76, of Red Oak, OK, passed away Tuesday, October 21st, at Sparks Regional Medical Center, Ft. Smith,  County, Ar. 

Mary was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on September 12, 1938, a daughter of the late Flossie (Keith) and Earl  Holbird.

She worked as a accountant.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church Red Oak, OK 74563. 

She was the wife of Otis  Smith. On December 13, 1980, they were married at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Mary is  survived by 
three daughters, Terri Lunday, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 
Tedra, wife of  Ron Phelps, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; 
Stacie, wife of  Michael Bradford, of Ardmore, Oklahoma; 
a son,Steve, husband of  Debbie Yandell, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; 
 

Mary is also survived by 
two brothers, Earl L. Holbird, of Wister, Oklahoma; Johnny, husband of  Faye Holbird, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. 
 

Preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Mary Katherine.

She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren

Services at Bethel Baptist Church, Red Oak, OK, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24th,  with Rev. Bob Cherry officiating. 

Interment at North Rock Creek, OK.

 Barbara Jean Pickle, 66, of Wilburton, OK, passed away Friday, October 24th, at her residence. . 

Barbara was born in Stockton, California on March 17, 1948, a daughter of the late Bernice (Stephens) and William  Cartwright.

She was a  homemaker.

Barbara is  survived by 
a daughter, Vicki, wife of  Tim Wilson, of Keller, Texas; 
three sons Tom, husband of  Lisa Pickle, of Elsequndo, California; Troy Pickle, of Ft. Worth, Texas; Alex Wilks, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; 
 

Barbara is also survived by 
a brother, Chuck, husband of  Joyce Cartwright, of Ann Arbor, Michigan. 
 

Preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary.

She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild

Memorial Service at at Highbridge Baptist Church, Wilburton, OK, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28th,  with Rev. David Ward and Bain Durant officiating.

 Glenn Wayne Shank, 86, of Stigler, OK, passed away Thursday, October 30th, at Quinton Manor Nursing Home, Quinton, Pittsburg County. 

Glenn was born in Brownsville, Texas on June 4, 1928, a son of the late Edith (Parkhurst) and Lee  Shank.

He worked as a mechanic.

He was a member of Wilburton Assembly of God Church Wilburton, OK,  . 

He was the widower of Vera  (Persinger) Shank. On May 9, 1952, they were married at Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Glenn is  survived by 
a son,Joe, husband of  Billie Shank, of Quinton, Oklahoma; 
 

Glenn is also survived by 
a sister, Judy, wife of  John Hulsey, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. 
a brother, Ray, husband of  JoNell Shank, of Globe, Arizona; 
 

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Vera, an infant daughter, Brenda Kay and a brother, Charley Shank.

He is also survived by Sisters-In-Law:  JoAnn Persinger, of Texas; Rita Shank, of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; JoAnn and her husband Gene Smith of Coweta, Oklahoma.  Special Friend:  Phyllis Wilson, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.  Three grandchildren:  Tanner Shank of Brooken, Bobby Shank of Wilburton, and Marquita Colson of Stigler.  Four Great Grandchildren:  Austin Shank, Kale Shank, Michael Sparks, Samantha Colson.

Services at First Assembly of God Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1st,  with Rev. Conley Wright and Rev. Stan Ledford officiating. 

Interment at Centerpoint Cemetery, OK.

 Ruthie Irene Hunnicutt, 91, of Wilburton, OK, passed away Thursday, October 30th, at her residence. .

Ruthie was born in Hackett, Arkansas on March 26, 1923, a daughter of the late Viola (McDonald) and William  Turman.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Baptist Church Wilburton, OK 74578. 

She was the widow of Cecil  Hunnicutt. On 1950, they were married at Ft Smith, Arkansas. 

Ruthie is  survived by 
two daughters, Mae Wilson, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; 
Linda Bodiford, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; 
six sons James Thornburg, of Ft. Worth, Texas; Larry Thornburg, of Virginia; Fred Thornburg, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Ed Hunnicutt, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Robert, husband of  Candy Hunnicutt, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Rick Hunnicutt, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; 
 

Ruthie is also survived by 
a sister, Doris, wife of  Jack Shine, of California. 
 

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Cecil, daughter-in-law Sue Thornburg, son-in-law Walter Wilson, 2 grandchildren, infant son, and an infant daughter.

She is also survived by Special Friends: Phillip Godin, of Carlsbad, New Mexico; Mary Thornburg, of Carlsbad, New Mexico.  25 Grandchildren; 51 Great Grandchildren, 38 Great Great Grandchildren.

Services at First Baptist Church, Wilburton, OK, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3rd,  with Rev. Paul Brady and Rev. Willard Francis officiating. 

Interment at Lutie Cemetery, OK.
