William Charles Howard, age 50, of McKinney, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at his residence in McKinney.

William was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 9, 1967, a son of the late Lorene Kay (Abbott) and William Leroy Howard.

He worked as a system engineer.  William served in the U.S. Army as a Captain. 

William was the husband of Kassandra  (Wilcox) Howard. On May 2, 1987, they were married at Wilburton, Oklahoma.   William was of the Baptist faith.

William is  survived by:
Wife: Kassandra Howard, of the home. 
Daughters/Sons-In-Law:  Kayla'Sue & Ilan Cisneros, of McKinney, Texas; Sarah & Karhl Wayman, of McKinney, Texas.
Sisters/Brother-In-Law:  Karey Thorton, of Norman, Oklahoma; Cheri & John Bergsten, of Norman, Oklahoma. 
He is also survived by Grandchildren:  Mia'Sue Cisneros, William Riley Wayman, Rowan Cisneros, Jackson Cole Wayman.  Several other relatives and friends.

William was preceded in death by his parents, paternal & maternal grandparents.

Service at First Baptist Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017  with Dr. Paul Brady officiating.  Interment to follow at the Wilburton Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers:  Josh Hunnicutt, JR. Thornburg, Ilan Cisneros, Eric Siler, Jerry Stoll, Jack Wilcox.

In Memory Of  Marian  Winlock

Marian Winlock, age 65, of Hartshorne, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at her residence in Hartshorne.

Marian was born in Talihina, Oklahoma on July 22, 1951, a daughter of the late Lorene (Harris) and Ellis Ramsey.

Marian worked as a nurses aid.

She was a lifetime member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church.  She liked going to gospel singings, fishing, yard sales, and family gatherings.  She enjoyed playing domino's and traveling. 

Marian is survived by: 
Sister/Brother-In-Law:  Nora & Wayne Scott, Sr.
Nieces:  Sonya Christie and husband Gaylon, Sherry Picone and husband Vence, Kimberly Scott, Ashley Miller, Roxie Whilelance, Jaxie Willis, Jolene Willis, Michelle Ramsey. 
Nephews:  Michael Winlock, Wayne Scott, Jr., Jeremy Scott and wife Honni, LeRoy Sealy, Bobby Sealy, Ellis Scott, James Scott, Michael Ramsey.  
She is also survived by numerous great and great great nephews & nieces.

Selma Ruth Loyd, age 69, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the  McAlester Regional Hospital, McAlester, Oklahoma.

Selma was born in Poteau, Oklahoma on May 7, 1947, a daughter of the late Mamie (Atkins) and Charles T. Wise.

Selma worked as a hairdresser.

She was the wife of Earnest  Loyd. On June 7, 1990, they were married at Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Selma is  survived by:
Husband: Earnest Loyd, of the home.
Daughters/Sons-In-Law:  Khristine & Wayne Malone, of Poteau, Oklahoma; Saundra & Kelly Cate, of Sprio, Oklahoma. 
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:  Larry & Kim Knight, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Christopher Joe Knight, of Oklahoma.
She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren.

Selma was preceded in death by her parents, 9 brothers, 2 sisters, granddaughter Janice Cornell.

Judy A. Royston, age 70, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the  McAlester Regional Hospital, McAlester, Oklahoma.

Judy was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on November 7, 1946, a daughter of the late Charline (Wilkerson) and George  Reed.

Judy worked as a registered nurse.  She was a member of Wilburton Seventh Day Adventist Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Judy was the wife of Daryl (Butch)  Royston. On June 22, 1992, they were married at Little Rock, Arkansas. 

Judy is  survived by:
Husband: Daryl (Butch) Royston, of the home.
Sons:  Louis Smith, Jr., of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Danny Holloway II, of Texas.
Daughters/Sons-In-Law:   Susan & Michael Ray, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Bridget & Stephen Thompson, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.

Keith Leon Friend,  age 47, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Ft. Smith,  Arkansas. 

Keith was born in McAlester, Oklahoma on June 12, 1969, a son of Preston Friend and the late Katherine (Mills) Friend.

Keith worked as a truck driver.

Keith is survived by:
Father: Preston Friend, of Jacksonville, Florida. 
Daughters:  Britney Friend and BreAnna Friend, both of Jacksonville, Florida. 
Son:  Kyle Friend, of Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Billy Wayne Hulsey, age 83, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at his home in Wilburton.

Billy was born in Hico, Texas on November 14, 1933, a son of the late Laura  and Bud  Hulsey.

He was employed in the Aerospace Industry.  Billy was a member of DAV, VFW, and Masonic Lodge of Wilburton.  He served in the U.S. Marines. 

He was the husband of Sharon  (Keenan) Hulsey. On February 18, 1977, Billy & Sharon were married at San Diego, California. 

Billy is  survived by:
Wife:  Sharon Hulsey, of the home. 
Son:  Scott Hulsey, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 
Step Sons:  Michael Doyle, of Paris, Arkansas; James Wesley Doyle, of Del Rio, Texas; William Timothy Doyle, of Murrieta, California.  
He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, and 3 sisters.

Marvin Robert Gregory, age 70, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at his home in Wilburton.

Marvin was born in Greenville, Michigan on June 12, 1946, a son of the late Alfreda (Greehoe) and Marvin J. Gregory.

Marvin worked as a auto mechanic.  He was a member of The Church of the Rock, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Marvin served in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the DAV, VFW, American Legion and was a Purple Heart recipient.   

He was the husband of Marilyn  (Stordahl) Gregory. On August 13, 2003, they were married at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. 

Marvin is  survived by:
Wife: Marilyn Gregory, of the home.
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:   Bobby Gregory, of Six Lakes, Michigan; Jessie & Heidi Winter, of Six Lakes, Michigan; Travis Winter, of Lakeview, Michigan; Chris Nisonger, of Six Lakes, Michigan.
Daughter/Son-In-Law:  Tammy & Steve Melcher, of Manchester, Michigan. 
Sister/Brother-In-Law: , Sharon & Doug Phillips, of Armada, Michigan. 
Brother:  Marvin Patrick Gregory, of Frederick, Michigan. 
He is also survived by several other sons and daughter.  Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Juanita Booth, age 93, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. 

Juanita was born in Waldron, Arkansas on January 30, 1924, a daughter of the late Ella Mae (Fry) and John  Metcalf.

She was a member of Rocky Point United Methodist Church of the Rocky Point Community,  Juanita was also a member of the Eastern Star-Wilburton Chapter and the Oklahoma Home and Community Education.   She was a loving homemaker.

Juanita is  survived by:
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:  Johnny & Cyndi Booth, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; Jimmy Booth, of Panola, Oklahoma.
Daughter/Son-In-Law:   Linda & Larry Dean Sand, of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.

William A. Root, age 75, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital, Little Rock,  Arkansas. 

William was born in Yakima, Washington on June 19, 1941, a son of the late Margaret (Maddox) and Wayne  Root.

He retired from the  O.S. Navy. 

William is  survived by:
Sons/Daughter-In-Law:   Wayne & Malisa Root, of Everton, Arkansas; Jason Root & Shanda, of Lavaca, Arkansas.
Daughters:   Anjie Engel, of Woodland Hills, California, Farhan Root, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild.

William was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Lynda Root.

Loyd M. Parker, age 82, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at his residence in Red Oak, Oklahoma.

Loyd was born in Wheeler, Texas on June 28, 1934, a son of the late Louella (Turner) and Leath M. Parker.

Loyd was self-employed.  He worked in sales at J & L Mart, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.

He was the widower of Joan  (Cockrum) Parker. On September 12, 1952, they were married in California.   Joan passed away August 17, 2012. 

Loyd is  survived by: 
Daughters:  Rebecca Coy and Tracy Parker, both of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Son/Daughter-In-Law:  Loyd W. & Jarita Parker, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. 
Sister:   Jakie Davis, of Ely, Nevada. 
Brother:  Leath M. Parker, Jr., of Edmond, Oklahoma. 
 A host of several nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. 

 Loyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan; son, Jeffrey Parker; brother, Billy Jo Parker; sister, Leatha Smith; step-father, Glen Gladden; son-in-law, Ronny Coy.
