In Memory of Lila Pauline Kirkes

Lila Pauline Kirkes, age 79, of Wilburton, Oklahoma , passed away Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Coal County General Hospital, Coalgate, Oklahoma.

Lila was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on October 1, 1935, a daughter of the late Burtis (Goforth) and William Coffee.

Lila graduated from Panola High School in 1952. She attended Beauty School in California where she received her degree on January 4, 1955, and state board Cosmetology in Oklahoma in 1956.

Lila was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

She was the widow of Richard Kirkes. On November 1957, they were married at Durant, Oklahoma.

Lila is survived by:

Son: Lewis Kirkes, of McAlester, Oklahoma.

Daughter-In-Law: Lisa Kirkes (Smith), of Paoli, Oklahoma.

Granddaughters: Ashley Cody Davis, of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Alyssa Kirkes, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

Grandson: Joshua Kirkes, of Durant, Oklahoma.

And she is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Kirkes, son, Richard Kirkes, Jr., sister, Dorothy Walker.

Memorial Service at The Bob Waldrop Memorial Chapel, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 with Rev. Randy Waldrop officiating.
