James Arthur Hiatt

In Memory of James Arthur Hiatt

James Arthur Hiatt born January 10, 1958 passed from this life August 9, 2019 at the age of 61.

James was born in Weaverville, California to Jack Hiatt and Oleta (Muse) Hiatt.

James graduated from ReD Oak High School, Class of 1976. James was a catcher on Red Oak's first "state bound" baseball team. James continued his education at Eastern Oklahoma State College, graduating with a degree in machine technology.

James worked most of his life in the oil field, either as a roustabout or leading a crew of roustabouts. James enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and being around his grandchildren.

James did life his way and loved being around his family and friends.

James leaves behind his daughter Halie (Hiatt) Meek, of Wilburton, Oklahoma and his son Conner Hiatt, of Edmond, Oklahoma. Grandchildren, Jewel and Joel Benson, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. Sister, Judy Hiatt, of Red Oak, brothers Vince Hiatt and wife Donna, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, Gene Hiatt and wife Helen, of Whitesboro, Oklahoma, and sister-in-law Belinda Hiatt, of Red Oak, Oklahoma. Numerous nieces and nephews, other family, and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Hiatt.

Memorial Service at The Bob Waldrop Memorial Chapel, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019 with Rev. Kenneth Rouviere officiating.
