Quietta Faye Sprouse, age 73, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital, Muskogee, Oklahoma. 

 

Quietta was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on February 19, 1947, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Glenn) and Arthur G. Allen.

 

She worked as a park manager.

 

Quietta was a member of Centerpoint Baptist Church, of  Wilburton, Oklahoma and the Eastern Star of Wilburton. 

 

Quietta is  survived by: 

Son/Daughter-In-Law:  Robert & Sandra Sprouse, of Ruther Glen, Virginia. 

Sister:  Bonnie Robertson, of Muskogee, Oklahoma. 

Sister-In-Law: Phyllis Davis, of Talihina, Oklahoma.  

Grandchildren: Ashley Martin, and husband Kyle, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Russell Sprouse, of Ruther Glen, Virginia.  

Great Grandchildren:  Eli Sprouse, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Scarlette Martin, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  

She is also survived by fur babies Cricket and Dottie.

 

Quietta was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Dean.

Jerry Neil Barnard, age 69, of Porum, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his residence. 

 

Jerry was born in McAlester, Oklahoma on November 29, 1950, a son of the late Bobbie (Foster) and Neil  Barnard.

 

Jerry worked as a Water Treatment Supervisor.  He was a member of Panola Baptist Church Panola, Oklahoma.  Jerry served in the U.S. Army.

 

He was the husband of Donna (Williams) Barnard. On April 20, 1972, they were married at Panola, Oklahoma. 

 

Jerry is  survived by:

Father: Neil Barnard, of Panola, Oklahoma.

Wife: Donna Barnard, of the home. 

Daughter/Son-In-Law:  Jamie & Bobby Crocker, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Sons/Daughters-In-Law:  Andy & Missy Barnard, of Pittsburg, Oklahoma; Jerry & Lavana Barnard, of Atlanta, Texas.

Sister/Brother-In-Law:  Renae & Allen Taylor, of Panola, Oklahoma. 

Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.  

He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

In Memory Of Palmer Lee (BB) Pace

 

Palmer Lee (BB) Pace, age 72, of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at McAlester Regional Hospital. 

 

Palmer was born in Hanford, California on April 12, 1947, a son of the late Bessie (Chaney) and Harrington  Pace.

 

He was employed as an electrician.  Palmer served in the U.S. Air Force and Army. He was life time member of the VFW and DAV.  Was a Purple Heart recipient and a Vietnam Veteran combat soldier.

 

He was the husband of Mary  (Pass) Pace. On January 23, 1981, they were married at Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

 

Palmer is  survived by:

Wife: Mary Pace, of the home. 

Daughter:  Kathryn Pace Standefer, wife of  Kendal, of McAlester, Oklahoma. 

Son: Jerry Pace, of McAlester, Oklahoma. 

Brother/Sister-In-Law:  Millard & Donna Pace, of McAlester, Oklahoma. 

Step Daughter: Kim Conley, and husband Rick, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Grandchildren: KynLee Standefer, of McAlester, Oklahoma; Kurt Conley, of McAlester, Oklahoma; Nate Conley; Casey & Paulo Almedia, of Durant, Oklahoma; Cody Pace Potts, of Durant, Oklahoma.

Great Grandchildren: Julianna & Johnny Almedia, of Durant, Oklahoma. Nick Conley and Lexi Conley, both of McAlester, Oklahoma.

Sisters-In-Law/Brother-In-Law:  Leona Tate, of Yanush, Oklahoma; Ruby Miles, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Sherry & William Seyler, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Brenda Pass, of Yanush, Oklahoma.

Service at The Bob Waldrop Memorial Chapel, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2020  with Rev. Jason Dunn and Rev. Rodney Tate officiating.  Interment to follow at Wilburton Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Doyal Ray Rowland, age 82, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 at his residence.

Doyal was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on September 16, 1937, a son of the late Georgia (Jewell) and Arthur Ray Rowland.

Doyal worked in concrete construction.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, of  Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Doyal was the husband of Nancy  (Farrell) Rowland. On September 27, 1979, they were married at Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Doyal is survived by:
Wife: Nancy Rowland, of the home.
Daughter/Son-In-Law:  Sheryl & Thomas Clawson, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Sons/Daughters-In-Law:  Doyal Wayne Rowland, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Anthony & Melissa Rowland, of Jacksboro, Texas; Steve & Christle Rowland, of Savanna, Oklahoma.

Walter was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on November 19, 1935, a son of the late Lucille (Bloxham) and Walter  Newsom, Sr.

 

Walter worked as a welder.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, of  Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

 

He was the husband of Margaret M. (March) Newsom. On March 2, 1957, they were married at Poteau, Oklahoma. 

 

Walter is  survived by:

Wife: Margaret Newsom, of the home. 

Daughters/Sons-In-Law:   Kay & Danny Seaton, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Melinda & David Brinlee, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Sons/Daughter-In-Law:  Jody & Sandra Newsom, of Gowen, Oklahoma; Ricky Newsom, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Walter is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild.

Richard A. Swanson, age 93, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at his residence.

 

Richard was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on November 23, 1926, a son of the late Florence (Bervinkle) and Herman A. Swanson, Sr.

 

He worked as an auto mechanic.

 

Richard was a member of First Baptist Church, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.   Also a member of the American Legion. 

 

Richard served in the U.S. Army. 

 

He was the husband of Barbara  (Brady) Swanson. On June 12, 1995, they were married at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

 

Richard is  survived by:

Wife: Barbara Swanson, of the home. 

Sons/Daughters-In-Law:   David & Tracy Swanson, of Enid, Oklahoma; Patrick & Angela Swanson, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Step-Daughter: Janice Rosecrans, of Nashville, Tennessee. 

Nephew: John Swanson, of Pasadena, Texas. 

Nieces: Shari Worsham, of South Lake, Texas, Terri King, of Grapevine, Texas.  

He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Jones and Grandson, Patrick Michael Williams.

 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Herman A. Swanson, Jr., Carl Swanson; 1 sister, JoAnn Harber.

Larry was born in Oakland, California on July 16, 1953, a son of the late Florene (Smith) and George  Lyons.

 

He worked in the construction business.

 

Larry is  survived by:

Eulema was born in LeFlore, Oklahoma on November 16, 1929, a daughter of the late Lena (Dukes) and Frank  Smith.

 

Eulema was a homemaker.

 

Eulema is survived by:

In Memory Of John Arthur Gaustad

 

John Arthur Gaustad, 94, of Wilburton, Oklahoma born of Emil Gaustad and Clara Gaustad (Anderson)  on January 13, 1926 passed away at his home of 22 years in Wilburton, Oklahoma on  Saturday, January 18, 2020 with his family present.

 

John finished his career working as a civilian employee for the US Army on the Manpower Staffing Standards System for the Dept. of Defense.  He is a WWII Era veteran of the US Army Air Corps.

He was employed as an Industrial Engineer.

 

He attended the First Free Will Baptist Church, of  Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

 

John is  survived by: 

Daughter:  Brenda Crouch, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Son/Daughter-In-Law: Richard & Jennifer Gaustad, of Mesa, Arizona.

He is survived by 15 Grandchildren:  Melissa Shaw, Melinda Munoz, Alan Ramos, Roland Vieira, Alissa Godfrey, Heather Douglas, Breanna Duck, Amanda Ramos, Matthew Ramos, Rico Gutierrez, Adrianna Gutierrez, Whitney Crouch, Brandon Crouch, Sarah Crouch, Shane Gaustad.

Also survived by 19 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

 

Preceded in death by Parents; 1st wife, Betty Lou Galley (Moulton); 2nd wife, Clara Mae Gaustad (Lively); brother, Paul A. Davis-Gaustad; daughter-in-law, Susan Marie Gaustad (Neffew); son, Michael John Gaustad; son, Donald Crouch.
