Lela May Hamby, age 91, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at her residence in Wilburton.

Lela was born in Red Fork, Oklahoma on January 26, 1927, a daughter of the late Nellie (Harrison) and Harry  Parker.

She worked in the food service department at EOSC, of  Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Lela was a member of First Baptist Church,  and VFW Auxiliary, both of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

She was the widow of Versil  Hamby. In 1949, they were married at Big Flat, Arkansas.  Versil Hamby passed away in 1990.

Lela is  survived by:
Daughter:  Mary Hord, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Son/Daughter-In-Law:  Kevin & Tracy Hamby, of Foyil, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two daughters, Danette Hamby and Cynthia Hamby; and husband, Versil Hamby.

Service at First Baptist Church, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018  with Dr. Paul Brady officiating.  Interment to follow at the Centerpoint Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma.

In Memory Of Syble J. Henry

Syble J. Henry, age 79, of Red Oak, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Sparks Regional Medical Center, Ft. Smith,  Arkansas.

Syble was born in LeFlore, Oklahoma on March 16, 1939, a daughter of the late Della (Pickle) and James Walter Sutton.

She worked in the accounting department at Kiamichi Electric, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Syble was a member of the United Free Will Baptist Church, of  Red Oak, Oklahoma.

She was the wife of Wilburn  Henry. On August 3, 1956, they were married at Red Oak, Oklahoma.

Syble is survived by:
Husband: Wilburn Henry, of the home.
Sister:   Laverne Blankenship, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Brother:  Carol Dean Sutton, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by Granddaughter: Skyla DeWitt, and her husband Jared, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Great Granddaughter: Paisley DeWitt, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.

Syble was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rita Henry; son, Darrell Henry; sisters, Rosa Lee Montana, Oma Mangrum, Christine Tucker, Lois Robinson; brothers, Frank Sutton, Harrold Sutton, Hershel Sutton.

Service at the United Free Will Baptist Church, Red Oak, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018  with Rev. Tracy Martin and Rev. Johnny Montgomery officiating.  Interment to follow at Cedars Cemetery, Red Oak, Oklahoma.

Viewing Friday 1pm to 5pm.  Family will greet friends 6pm-8pm.

Darrell Wayne Dill, age 62, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at his residence.

Darrell was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 2, 1955, a son of Jimmie (Williams) Dill and the late Leonard Dill.

He worked as a auto mechanic.

Darrell attended Calvary Baptist Church of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

He was the husband of Mary  (Tubbs) Dill. On August 31, 1974, they were married at Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Darrell is survived by:
Mother: Jimmie Dill, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Wife: Mary Dill, of the home.
Daughter/Son-In-Law:   Debbie & Fred Ivey, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Those who Darrell considered brothers:  David Holloway, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; LeRoy Dill, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Johnny Chronister, of Moore, Oklahoma; Travis Shefield, of Durant, Oklahoma.  
A host of several friends and family.  
And he is also survived by Grandson and wife: Fred & Summer Ivey of Wilburton, Oklahoma. Great Grandson: Kaise Ivey of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Darrell was preceded in death by his father, brother, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Tommy was born in Albion, Oklahoma on April 18, 1952, a son of the late Effie Pearl (Moore) and Arubry Thomas Armstrong.

Kenneth Donel Aaron, age 84, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at his residence. 

 

Kenneth was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on February 8, 1934, a son of the late Ira (Keplinger) and Joseph  Aaron.

 

He worked in the construction business.

 

He was the husband of Helen  (Cooper) Aaron. On March 13, 1968, they were married at Poteau, Oklahoma. 

 

Kenneth is survived by: 

Wife:  Helen Aaron, of the home.

Daughters:   Iva Tubbs, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Nancy Aaron, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Sons/Daughters-In-Law:  Kenneth & Danyell Aaron, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Jay & Robin Aaron, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Sisters/Brother-In-Law:  Thelma & Don Crowder, of Marietta, Oklahoma; Lellie (Lee) Farwell, of Plymouth, Illinois. 

Brother:   Jo Bill Aaron, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Brother-In-Law:  Doc Cooper, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.  

Sister-In-Law: Barbara Cooper, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Lillie was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on December 22, 1937, a daughter of the late Gather Lillie (Newcomb) and Edward  Owens.

Lillie worked as a school teacher.

Lillie was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Lillie is  survived by:
Son:  Brent Taylor, of Oklahoma.
Sister:   Cathie Norton, of Choctaw, Oklahoma.
Brother:    David Owens, of Red Oak, Oklahoma.
Lillie is also survived by 2 Grandchildren.

Bobby Joe Smart, age 81, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the St. Francis Hospital,  of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bobby was born in Sayre, Oklahoma on May 29, 1937, a son of the late Vergie (Sanders) and Bill  Smart.

He served in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years.  He was a Jet Engine Mechanic.

Bobby is  survived by:
Daughter:   Denell, wife of  Stacey Wayne Cooley, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Sons:  Darrell Smart & Annie Lauterbach, of Longview, Washington; Michael Smart, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Brother:  Ray, husband of  Lola Smart, of Sayre, Oklahoma.
Bobby is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leon Smart and Billy Smart; son, Gerald Smart; daughter, Michelle Smart; and sisters, Laveda Click and Oleta Farber.

Robert was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on September 30, 1957, a son of Daisy (Miller) Jones and the late Harvey S. Miller.

He worked as a sanitation employee for the City of Wilburton.

Vera was born in Arch, Oklahoma on March 19, 1940, a daughter of the late Mattie Elizabeth (Penfield) and Thomas Daniel Deerdoff.

Vera worked as a bookkeeper.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilburton, Oklahoma.
