In Memory Of  Reuben Edward Deela

Reuben Edward Deela, age 70, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at his residence.

Reuben was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on September 7, 1949, a son of the late Bonnie (Holcomb) and Murrell  Deela.

Reuben worked in the oil field.  He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam war. Reuben was a life member of the VFW of Wilburton, Oklahoma and the  DAV of McAlester, Oklahoma.

He was the husband of Cynthia  (Ferkins) Deela. On May 7, 1971, they were married at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Reuben is survived by:

Wife: Cynthia Deela, of the home. 

Daughters:  Jamie Deela, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Courtney Ragland, of the home. 

Son:  Dewayne Deela and fiancé Melissa, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Brothers/Sisters-In-Law:  Dennis & Brenda Deela, of Wilburton, Oklahoma; Glenn & Sueann Deela, of Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Reuben is also survived by Grandchildren: Aja Deela, of the home.  Amber Deela, of Ada, Oklahoma. 

Great Grandchild: Bonnie Ragland, of Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Reuben was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Ralph, Charley, Henry; nephew, Oddes Deela; niece, Wanda Deela; special cousin, Mike Smith.

Service at The Bob Waldrop Memorial Chapel, Wilburton, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019  with Rev. Bud Vinson and Rev. Willard Francis officiating.  Interment to follow at the Lutie Cemetery, Wilburton, Oklahoma. 

Pallbearers:  Murrell Deela, Glenn Deela, Jr. Jason Brinkley, Brandon Deela, Bobby Glenn, Andy Barnard.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Brandon Holliman, Derrick Holliman, Max Ferkins, JT Ferkins.
