Patricia Louise McCabe of Wilburton, Oklahoma was called to be with the Lord on January 10, 2022, her 56th birthday, in Denison, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Waldrop Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Bowers Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Waldrop officiating. The burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Robert McCabe, Travis Powell, Jay Austin, Lester Carter, and James Bracy.

Honorary Pallbearers are Gary McCabe and Johnny McCabe.

Trish was born on January 10, 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Truman and Mary (Duncan) Roberts. She attended Wilburton High School where she met the love of her life, Robby McCabe. Robby and Trish were married on January 25, 1982 in Wilburton where they built a life and raised 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

She had many passions in life, the biggest being her service to the Lord and her family. She brought light and joy to everyone she met. Sadly after 40 years of marriage with her ever loving husband faithfully by her side, she succumbed to her illness.

Trish is survived by her husband: Robby McCabe of the home; son: Robert McCabe and wife, Rachel of Wilburton; daughter: Amy Powell and husband, Travis of Wilburton; granddaughters: Alyssa and Zoey Powell of Wilburton; grandsons: Dylan, Lucas, Raylan, and Zachary McCabe of Wilburton; father: Truman Roberts of Wilburton; sister: Sherry Reagan of McAlester; sister: Mary Ashby and husband, Mickey of Bowlegs, OK; sister: Pam Hulsey and husband, Danny of Red Oak; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces , nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son: Matthew McCabe of Wilburton; mother: Mary Roberts of Wilburton; sister: Sharron Roberts of Wilburton; grandparents: John and Mildred Duncan of Wilburton; and grandparents: Owen and Bessie Roberts of Ada, OK.



Cecil Warren Morgan

Cecil Warren Morgan, 82, of Allen, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Waldrop Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at North Rock Cemetery in Red Oak, OK with Rev. James Carpenter officiating.

Pallbearers will be Greg Bryce, Tommy Joe Martin, Jerimiah Morgan, Joshua Morgan, Eddy Adams, and Jorge Arcemonge.

Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Pettit, Steve Yandell, Mike Coy, Doug Martin, and Odie Martin.

Cecil was born February 24, 1939 in Red Oak, Oklahoma to Dennis E. and Buena (Martin) Morgan. He was a member of North Rock Creek Baptist Church and was a 3rd degree Mason.

He is survived by his sons: Dee Morgan of Allen, OK, Carl Morgan of Allen, OK, Clay Morgan and wife, Kelitha of Red Oak, OK; daughter: Tresa Jo Morgan of Bixby, OK; exchange student: Jorge Arcemonge of Costa Rica; sisters: Norma Hinton of Hectorville, OK and Mary Ann Broomfield of Cape Fair, MO; his 8 grandchildren; and 27 grandchildren.

Cecil is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Morgan, parents, and brother: Raymond Morgan.

Services are under the direction of Waldrop Funeral Home.

Richard Reid Hill

Richard Reid Hill, 76 of Wilburton, OK passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on Monday, January 17 at the Opera House in Elk City, OK.

Richard was born on September 12, 1945 in Dumas, TX to Pat and Amy Beth (Henson) Hill. He grew up in Sunray, TX as the youngest child of four. Richard loved to reminisce about his childhood and memories of the family-owned Sunray Drug Store and the family farm where his love for horses first formed and grew, Richard was a true West Texas Cowboy. He graduated from Sunray High School and later served in the United States National Guard. He spent most of his professional career in oilfield services, the last 25 years at Energy Transfer Corporation. Richard loved to fish, hunt and enjoyed being outdoors. Richard was a very caring person and if at any time a friend or family member was in need, he always did his best to help.

Richard was preceded in death by his father and mother; brother Ernest Hill and sister Patty (Hill) Lackey; brothers-in-law, Bill Lackey and Bobby James

Richard is survived by his son, Ryan Hill and wife Christine of Albany, OR; grandchild Peter Hill also of Albany; sister Beth Ann (Hill) James of Dumas, TX; sister-in-law Hazel Hill of Moore, OK and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard also had very special neighbors, Bobby, Naomi, Woody and Kory Briant who cared for and loved him. The family is eternally grateful for them and all of his friends who were like family to him.

Wayne Smallwood

Wayne Edwin Smallwood of Ponca City, Oklahoma was born September 16, 1967 in Wilburton, Oklahoma to Horace C. and Mary Alice (Raleigh) Smallwood. He passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at Alliance Heath Center in Ponca City at the age of 54.

Wayne is survived by his aunt and uncle, Virginia and Kenneth Love of Ponca City; sister, Valerie Smallwood of Ponca City; and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Waldrop Funeral Home in Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak, Oklahoma with Rev. Johnny Montgomery officiating.

Emma Juanett Offield Squyres

Emma Juanett Offield was born on June 4, 1932 in Breckenridge, Texas to Malcolm and Maxine Offield. She was married to Clifton Winston Squyres on March 5, 1948. She and Winston had 3 children, Ricky, Rusty, and Rhonda. They made their home in Ranger, Texas, Ft.Worth, Texas, and finally ended up in McAlester, Oklahoma. Emma passed away on December 30, 2021 at home where she had resided with her daughter and son in law for the past 7 years in Wilburton.

Emma loved the Lord and her family. After moving to Wilburton she became a part of First Baptist Church and she loved her church family. She loved to garden, craft, and play indoor and outdoor games with her family. In her later years she became an avid reader.

Emma is survived by her son and daughter in law, Rick and Marilyn Squyres of Aledo, Texas, son and daughter in law, Rusty and Kelly Squyres of Jack Fork, Oklahoma, and daughter and son in law, Rhonda and Bobby Gillespie of Wilburton, Oklahoma. Emma has eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren

Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother.

On behalf of Emma, her family would like to give a very special thank you to the hospice team that so lovingly cared for her the last six months of her life.

A funeral service for Emma will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Wilburton with Dr. Paul Brady officiating. The burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Burgan, Lyndal Smith, Jay Squyres, Keith Renteria, Dylan Burgan, Eric Wilson, and Richard Squyres. Services are under the direction of Waldrop Funeral Home.

Margaret Sue Kuykendall (Muse)

Margaret Sue Kuykendall (Muse)

Margaret Kuykendall peacefully went home to our Lord on December 13th, 2021 at the age of 87. A devout Christian, she loved serving faithfully in God’s church and found fulfillment and joy in helping others.  She was loved tremendously by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Born in Leflore, Oklahoma, Margaret spent much of her life in Southeastern Oklahoma and grew up in the Red Oak / Leflore areas.  In 1955 she married her childhood sweetheart, Jack Woodruff, and they made their home in Newcastle, Oklahoma while Jack worked at the FAA at Will Rogers Airport.  Margaret spent most of her life as a homemaker taking care of her children and household, and they retired to Red Oak prior to Jack’s passing.  In 2014 Margaret remarried, and survived her second husband, Gerl Kuykendall, also of Red Oak.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, William Nolen Muse and Clemmie A. (Meeks) Muse of Red Oak, Oklahoma, her sister, Weta (Muse) Womack and brother Billy Gene Muse. Surviving siblings include Fern (Muse) Duncan of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Glen Muse of Mustang, Oklahoma and Jim Muse of Las Vegas, New Mexico.

She is survived by her son, Anthony “Tony” Woodruff and wife Anna of Lexington, Oklahoma and daughter Susan (Woodruff) Wood & husband Keith of Eufaula, Oklahoma.  4 grandchildren, Chris Wood, Lauren Edwards, Lindsey Swift and Re’Anna McCracken, and 4 great grandchildren.

 

Margaret loved people and never met a stranger. She always enjoyed visiting friends and relatives. Her chili beans were always a hit at family reunions and get-togethers, and she never had any leftovers.  She faithfully attended the Free Will Baptist church in Red Oak, Oklahoma.  She enjoyed singing hymns at church and was part of a gospel singing group for many years. Margaret was the Treasurer and a long-time supporter of the Long Prairie Community Center, an old schoolhouse known as “Punkin Center.”  She along with others from the community held many fundraisers to help generate funds for the rebuilding, restoration, and operational expenses of the building.  

 

In later years Margaret could be found having lunch and playing dominoes at the Red Oak Community Center. Before her health began to deteriorate, she loved being outside and could often be found tending to her flowers and garden, hunting for arrowheads, and fishing.  



Visitation will be on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Waldrop Funeral Home in Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the United Free Will Baptist Church in Red Oak, Oklahoma with Pastor Tracy Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Red Oak Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Waldrop Funeral Home.



Robert Leon Prock

ROBERT LEON PROCK

Robert Leon Prock of Red Oak, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years young.

He is survived by his children; daughter, Renee Allison and husband Jackie, of Red Oak, Oklahoma; son, Greg Prock and wife Suzanne, of Purcell, Oklahoma; grandsons, Matthew Allison and wife Haley, of Elmore City, Oklahoma; Jayce Prock and wife Jamie, of Vian, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Jordyn Robinson and husband Justin of Wayne, Oklahoma; Mindy Allison Shebester of Maysville, Oklahoma. He is also survived by an uncle, Jim Prock, of Red Oak, Oklahoma and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lavelle Prock of Red Oak.

Robert graduated from Red Oak High School in 1957. He attended barber college in Oklahoma City graduating as a licensed state barber in 1958. After barber college, Robert worked downtown in a Tulsa oil company as their company barber. He later returned to Red Oak where he barbered with his dad in the family barber shop. Robert also worked for Congoleum Carpet Factory and later as a roughneck in the oil field industry.

For his daily exercise Robert loved walking around Red Oak stopping to visit with all the neighbors and friends. He would help anyone he could and loved “shooting the bull with people” as well as passing out snickers candy and Little Debbie HoneyBuns to all the kids and “big kids” he came across. He spent many hours visiting with people at EZ Mart, Choctaw Convenience Store, and the Leflore Store . He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was a faithful member of the Red Oak Church of Christ and very seldom missed a service unless his health would not allow. His final months were spent as a resident of The Oaks Healthcare Center in Poteau.

Robert left his loved ones with cherished memories that they will always have with them. He will always be loved and greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Red Oak City Cemetery. Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14 at Waldrop Funeral Home in Wilburton, Oklahoma.

Julia (Sparks) Johnston passed from this life on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the age of 68. Julia was born on January 15, 1953 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Cecil and Verna (McGuire) Sparks.

A viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the Waldrop Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Waldrop Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Monte Busby officiating. The burial will follow at Peachland Cemetery in the Bengal community.

Julia is preceded in death by her husband: Salty Johnston; parents Cecil and Verna Sparks; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and great granddaughter: Kenzlee.

Rose Marie Brown

Rose Marie Brown, age 63, of Wilburton, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at her home.

Rose was born January 26, 1958 in Shreveport, Louisiana to James and Margie Louise (Calender) Burton. She married Lyle Brown on December 27, 1989 in Wilburton.

She is survived by her husband: Lyle Brown of the home; sons: Charles Ward and wife, Patricia of Wilburton and Billy Joe Burton of Wilburton: grandchildren: Charles Burton, Jared Burton, Jordan Burton, Andrew Burton, Bradley Burton, Katigan Burton, Kade Burton, Devin Thompson, and Harley Ward; great grand-children: Heidi Burton, Florence Burton, and Edith Burton; brothers: Marvin Burton and wife, Tonya of Wilburton, Vernon Burton and wife Ronna of Royce City, Texas, and Steven Burton and wife, Karen of Wilburton; along with numerous other family and friends.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents: James and Margie Burton and brother: James Lee Burton Jr.
